Every so often, I take on client projects outside my full-time role at HNDRX Studio, especially when I have the time and know I get the creative freedom to explore new ideas in both design and development. As any professional designer or developer knows, not every client fully trusts your expertise—but from the outset. However, I knew Marilyn, the owner of Pumula Raglan, would. Pumula is a boutique yoga and sauna retreat nestled in the rural landscape of Ruapuke, New Zealand.
Although my main focus is web development, Marilyn gave me the opportunity—and the challenge—to handle both the design and development of her new site. Since she wanted the ability to easily update content herself, I recommended Webflow as the platform.
Fast forward: the website is now live, fully functional, and ready to handle bookings for all the experiences Pumula offers. I’m thrilled with how it’s turned out—and especially grateful for the trust Marilyn placed in me for both the creative and technical aspects of this project.
